What to Do If You Need to Defer Your Enrolment

AUT allows enrolment deferrals of up to one academic year for valid personal, medical, or professional reasons.

To apply for a deferral:

1. Submit a deferral request form via the Student Portal at least 30 days before the semester start.
2. Attach supporting documentation (medical certificate, employer letter, etc.).
3. Your request will be reviewed within 5 business days.
4. Approved deferrals retain your tuition fees paid — they are credited to the deferred semester.
